RACE BIB Race bibs are assigned on the basis of running times declared by each participant during

registration. It must exclusively be worn by you.. The timing chip is disposable (you don’t need to

return it) and embedded in the back of race bib. Place the safety pins by using the holes at the bib’s

corners. Do not fold your bib. Bib numbers must be properly fixed on the front of your race t-shirt and

made visible. Your bib corresponds to your starting area.

 

PRE-RACE AREA Access to ALL RUNNERS must occur through PIAZZA DEL COLOSSEO from 6.30 am

(getting in from Via di San Gregorio and Via Celio Vibenna) following the left luggage service area,

toilet facilities, changing tents. Near every lorry of left luggage there will be the chemical toilets:

do not stop at the first toilet you meet! On the race day the exit of Metro B Colosseo in Via dei Fori

Imperiali will be closed.

 

LEFT LUGGAGE SERVICE AND CHANGING TENTS A left luggage card with your race bib is included in

your bib envelope and IT MUST BE INSERTED IN THE TRANSPARENT POCKET OF THE NEW BALANCE

- ACEA MARATONA DI ROMA 2018 BACKPACK. If you wish to use the Left Luggage facilities you must

use this backpack only; no others will be accepted. You may use this service until 45 minutes before

the race start. The Organization will not be held responsible for valuables left inside the backpack.

You may find the left luggage lorries in Via dei Fori Imperiali (starting after the access from Piazza

del Colosseo): at first the lorries for men (spread up to front Metro B Colosseo) and then the lorries for

women (in front of “Tourist Information”center in Via dei Fori Imperiali). Each lorry is marked with a

number which you will find on your BIB. Please use the lorry with the corresponding number. You will

be able to collect your backpack from the same lorry at the finish area (Via dei Fori Imperiali).

From 8.00 am it will be no longer be possible to accept backpacks since the lorries. No other type of

sac or backpack will be admitted in the pre-race area and in the route! Men's and women's changing tents are close to

Tourist Information center, via dei Fori Imperiali) and DO NOT leave your backpack/clothes/objects inside the tent!

 

PRE-RACE CHECK AND START AREA In front of the “Tourist Information” 

center in Via dei Fori Imperiali, you will find two arches which will indicate the side of your starting area letter

as follows: on the left hand side entrance to areas Top (51-100 and F31-F70) and C and

on the right hand side entrance to areas B and A. By identifying  your side,

 you will help us to ensure an easy entrance for all. Entrance to this area will be granted

from 7.40 am in Via dei Fori Imperiali (Largo Corrado Ricci). You will enter the cordoned area

which will lead you to the Start along the passages marked by signs corresponding to the

bib colors: from left to right you will find the access for the Yellow Bibs (51-100 F31-F70) Top Area,

the Orange Bibs C area, the Green bibs B area and the Blue bibs A area (in this area

you may undergo a check to ensure proper functioning of your chip. Attention: any

runner found with an irregular or counterfeit bib will be disqualified!). You will be channeled through

the area corresponding to your race bib and reach your start area. Once you enter the start area you

will not be able to exit unless you wish to leave the race completely. The following start areas have

been established on the basis of the PB you have declared.

 

MEN AND WOMEN:

Start Top area: yellow race bib

Start A area: blue race bib

Start B area: green race bib

Start C area: orange race bib

 

You may only enter the area which has been assigned to you, although runners who have been assigned

area A may choose to start from areas B or C, and those in B may choose to start from area C.

Please be a good sport and allow the faster runners to get off to a good start. Please note that your

‘real time’ will be recorded and valid. The race will start at 8:35 am (slight time variations may occur

depending on technical or television requirements).

 

WAVE START The wave start has been established. The start line will be located in Via dei Fori Imperiali

(in front of Traian Forum-Campidoglio). The race will start at different time slots according to the starting areas.

Results for Top runners (men from 1 to 50 - women from F1 to F30 and the first ten athletes, men and women,

finishing the race) will be based on the time at the gunshot official race start, while for all the others,

results will be based on the real time which will also be valid for category and club results. Wave start timetable:

 

- 8.35 am: paralympic athletes

- 8.40 am: first wave start - Top + athletes in A area

- 8.45 am: second wave start - Athletes in B area

- 8.52 am: third wave start - Athletes in C area

 

On the start and finish line structure, at the half race and K 30 you will find three different chronometers

each corresponding and indicating the wave timing.

 

PACERS Look after and follow your pacers! Here below are the colors and related targets: 1st WAVE:

2:50 blue, 3:00 red, 3:15 white, 3:30 light blue. 2nd WAVE: 3:15, white, 3:30 light blue, 3:45 yellow,

4:00 dark green, 4:15 orange, 4:30 violet. 3rd WAVE: 3:45 yellow, 4:00 dark green, 4:15 orange, 4:30

violet, 4:45 lime, 5:00 blue, 5:30 pink, 6:00 black, 6:30 light green, 7:00 white, 7:30 gold.

 

PARALYMPIC ATHLETES Handbike and wheelchair athletes will start at 8:35 am so please cheer and

respect them and do not get in their way.

 

UNOFFICIAL RUNNERS AND BICYCLES Unauthorized bicycles are strictly forbidden. Traffic wardens

and race supervisors will be present to enforce this rule. The Marathon is a foot race and bicycles

could place competitors at risk.

 

TIME LIMITS Anyone who does not reach the half marathon within 3:45, k 30 within 5.15, k 35 within

6 hours from the gunshot start will be asked by the judges to stop. THE OVERALL TIME LIMIT IS 7:30

FROM THE TIME OF THE THIRD WAVE GUNSHOT. The time limit will be maintained by pacers who

will be bringing balloons with the time 7:30 time mark. Once the pacers will pass the K 10, 15, half

marathon, 25, 30, 35, athletes found at a considerable distance behind them will be asked to leave

the competition due to the request and needs of local authorities.

 

FINISH AREA (Via dei Fori Imperiali) At the 42km, you will be guided towards the arrival. Once you

pass the finish line you will be handed the following (in this order):

- the medal;

- a thermal blanket;

- refreshment with a goody bag containing water, an energy drink, fruit, and other food supplements.

In a specific area after the finish line you will find a refreshment for athletes suffering celiac disease.

Medical staff will be on-hand immediately after the finish on the left hand side. Once you leave the

finish line area you will bel guided towards the medical station, massage, refreshments and Left

Luggage areas. You will also find official photographers who will be glad to take pictures of you, your

medal and the beautiful surrounding area of ancient Rome. Once you reach the Left Luggage area you

will be able to retrieve your backpack by locating your Left Luggage lorry on the basis of the relative

number located on your BIB. You will also find the toilets and changing tents area (close to Tourist Information), please respect

and take care of the areas surrounding you. In this area, in Via dei Fori Imperiali / Colosseo in front

of the “Tourist Information” center, you will find the medal engraving tent where you will be able to

personalize your medal (service with charge - a voucher will be in your bib envelope, if you have prepurchased

it: don’t forget to bring it on the race day).

 

RESULTS - DIPLOMA - PHOTOS - VIDEOS - APP Official results (by EQ Timing), videos (by MySports),

diploma will be available on maratonadiroma.it. Your marathon photos (by Studio5) will be available

(shortly after the end of the race) by entering the code you find on the race bib from the “results”

page on maratonadiroma.it and also on getpica.com or the PICA app. If you have purchased the

HD personal video streaming / download service, you can access the MySports.tv website from the

results page. The results will be also on kiosk inside “Corriere dello Sport” newspaper (Rome edition)

on Monday 9 April. If you download the RaceOne app you will have many features on the race day.

 

SHOWERS SERVICE If you would like to take a shower after the marathon, the following facility will

be available and free to runners (timetable: 11 am – 5.30 pm): STADIO DELLE TERME DI CARACALLA

“NANDO MARTELLINI” Viale Guido Baccelli, 14 (near Metro B Circo Massimo). Show your race bib at

the entrance.

 

ART CARD Acea Maratona di Roma Art Card allows two free admissions for ten museums and art galleries

of Rome, part of the museum network of the Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo

(MIBACT). Valid from April 5 to April 12. Acea Maratona di Roma Art Card is inside the race kit. The

1st WAVE: 3:00 red, 3:15 white, 3:30 light blue.

2ND WAVE: 3:15, white, 3:30 light blue, 3:45 yellow, 4:00 dark green, 4:15 orange, 4:30 violet.

3RD WAVE: 3.45 yellow, 4:00 dark green, 4:15 orange, 4:30 violet, 4:45 lime, 5:00

blue, 5:30 pink, 6:00 black, 6:30 light green, 7:00 white, 7:30 gold.

 

GEPÄCKSAUFBEWAHRUNG
Am Start und am Ziel ist ein Gepäcksaufbewahrungs-Service vorgesehen, dessen Nutzungsbedingungen und Anweisungen für die angemeldeten Athleten der Startnummer beiliegen. Auf jeden Fall wird es möglich sein, den Bereich für die Gepäcksaufbewahrung bis zu 40 Minuten vor jedem Start zu betreten. Umkleideräume werden neben Gepäcksaufbewahrungs-Service. Das Gepäcksaufbewahrung der Männer wird zwischen der Piazza del Colosseo und der Via dei Fori Imperiali (vor der Metro B Colosseo) eingerichtet, das Frauen-Gepäcksaufbewahrung wird vor der "Tourist Information" (via dei Fori Imperiali) aufgestellt.

 

ZEITMESSUNG MIT CHIP UND RANGLISTEN

Die Zeitmessung erfolgt durch die mit einem Chip, der nach den Gebrauchsanweisungen in dem Rennpaket benutzt werden muss. Auf der Strecke werden ungefähr alle 5 km, und an der Hälfte der Strecke, die Zeiten chronometrisch erfasst. Außerdem werden weitere Messungen vorgenommen, um die Korrektheit der Ranglisten gewährleisten zu können. Die Ranglisten werden laut dem „Real Time/Net Time“ (die Zeit durch den Chip erfasst) erstellt. Für die Athleten von dem Startbereich Top werden die Ranglisten laut dem „Official Time“ (Start ab Pistolenschuss) erstellt.

RaceONE wird 2018 offizielle App von Maratona di Roma sein. In der App werden alle notwendigen Informationen für Teilnehmer und Publikum verfügbar sein, damit Sie Ihre Lieblingsläufer über Live-Tracking, offizielle Ergebnisse und verschiedene soziale Features wie Film verfolgen und unterstützen können und Bilder.

 

MEDIZINISCHE BETREUUNG

Entlang der Strecke befindet sich alle 5 km ein medizinischer Betreuungsposten. Zudem steht ein Erste-Hilfe-Dienst für Notfälle im Zielbereich bereit. Im Zielbereich bietet ein professionell ausgebildetes Team von Physiotherapeuten einen mobilen Massagedienst an.

 

MAXIMALE ZEIT
Die maximale Zeit um den Marathonlauf zu beenden beträgt 7 Stunden und 30 Minuten. In den Tagen vor dem Marathon werden die Details bekannt gegeben zu den Zeitlimits der mittleren Kilometerstationen zu finden sein.



ZURÜCKGETRETENE ATHLETEN

Die Athleten, die in der Nähe der Versorgungspunkten vom Lauf zurücktreten können von dort mit einem Shuttledienst die Zielzone erreichen.

 

NACH DEM MARATHONLAUF
Jedem Athleten, der das Ziel regulär erreicht hat, wird eine offizielle Medaille überreicht.

Die Rangliste und die Teilnahmebestätigung werden in den auf www.maratonadiroma.it und können von jedem Teilnehmer kostenlos ausgedruckt werden.
Persönliche Fotos werden direkt auf unserer Website, Rubrik "results", verkauft und sind auch auf getpica.com oder der PICA App erhältlich, indem Sie den Code eingeben, den Sie auf der Startnummer finden.
Ebenfalls kann ein persönliches Video vom eigenen Lauf auf der Website mit der Rangliste erworben werden.
