Today the Marathon Village, the official village of the ACEA Rome Marathon staged at Palazzo dei Congressi (Piazzale JF Kennedy 1) has been inaugurated. The traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by the Director of Sports of Rome, Alessandro Cochi, the chairman of the Committee on Culture, Sport and Youth Policy of Rome, Federico Mollicone, and the president of the Rome Marathon, Enrico Castrucci.
Over 15,000 square meters (7,000 and 8,000 covered outdoor) are ready for the reception of the 80,000 people expected to visit the 112 stands and more than 14,000 members from 82 countries who will collect the chest for the Marathon on Sunday, March 17.
There will be many conferences, shows, sporting events, performing arts and music, children's entertainment in addition to the traditional Pasta Party. The Marathon Village is also the official registration point for the non-competitive RomaFun - the Stracittadina.
It will be open until Saturday, March 16 (10 to 20). On Saturday at 17 o’clock the Rome Marathon top runners will be presented to the public.
