DISABLED ATHLETES: LATEST NEWS
Dear athletes, dear friends,
Like in the past years, the Italia Marathon Club will be organizing Maratona di Roma, to be held on March 21st, 2010.
Alongside with it, a non-competitive 4k (RomaFun - “La Stracittadina”) will take place. All is designed to offer you an amazing day of sports. The meaning of which is even more profound to disabled athletes: our event 2010 will be valid as Italian Paralympic Championship.
What we offer to athletes with disability is:
For the RomaFun - "La Stracittadina":
- Free entry (requests must be submitted no later than February 28th, 2010)
For the marathon:
- Free entry (for requests submitted by February 28th, 2010).
- Prize purse for men and women, wheelchair and blind. Categories: T11, T12-13, T46, T51, T52, T53-54.
- Prize purse for men and women, handbike: categories A, B, C.
- Prize purse for men and women, category Deaf.
- Possibility of an in-bicycle assistant for hand-bikers and wheelchair athletes (for requests submitted by January 31st, 2010).
- Possibility of a guide for blind athetes (for requests submitted by January 31st, 2010).
- 1 free overnight staying in hotel (March 20th). Please mind there are only 50 places available for athletes and 5 for guides, that will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Requests must be submitted at the time of registration.
- Free Saturday night dinner and free post-race lunch on Sunday. Please mind there are only 50 places available for athletes and 5 for guides, that will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Requests must be submitted at the time of registration.
In order to book free staying and meals, a cautionary deposit of EUR 25.00 is required at the time of registration.
